I like photography and like the humor and comedian elements embodied in photography even more. This preference has its origin in my early years of painting. I like drawing caricatures and obtain inspiration from caricatures. My photographic works are integrated with elements of satirical humor in caricature. Humorous photography focuses on coincidence and contrast. Coincidence brings amusement and illusion generates peculiarity, which combine to touch people’s souls. Such works blend humor and philosophy. A serious topic is delivered through humorous lens. The humor, gray humor, cold humor and black humor go straight to the heart of problems with greater sharpness. That is where the thinking and artistry of the works, as well as the depth and connotation of the works, lie. Humor is a kind of wisdom. It is the game of the wise, and it brings people bitter laugh while prompting thinking on life philosophy through humor.
