Introduction to Images of Silk Road

The “Images of Silk Road” China-Ukraine Photography Joint Exhibition is held as scheduled on the 27th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ukraine. The flowers of image art cultivated by photographers from China and Ukraine burst into bloom in the transfer stop of “South China Silk Road” - Shenzhen. The south and north are bridged together through the art of photography, opening up a “New Silk Road” for Chinese cultural and artistic exchanges.
At this exhibition are displayed a total of 25 excellent works by 9 Chinese photographers drawing inspirations in the Ukraine and 15 excellent works by 10 Ukrainian photographers. Through the lens, the photographers from China and Ukraine present a visual feast of Ukraine in an all-dimensional manner. The works cover a wide range of aspects, reflecting the culture and customs of Ukraine from different angles. With the unique way of thinking and aesthetic styles of photographers, these works tell the story of what is seen and thought in the “Granary of Europe”... These excellent works, like a golden bond, have tied the hearts of the photographers of the two countries closely together, and become a perfect interpretation of the photographers’ efforts to “pursue dreams with one heart, and go hand in hand on the artistic road of photography”. It is a productive exhibition of good communication and in-depth collaboration between the Chinese and Ukrainian photography communities, and still more, it is another grand event of cultural and artistic exchanges between China and Ukraine. It is believed that the successful holding of this exhibition will give a strong impetus to the national “Belt and Road” initiative, and vigorously foster the all-dimensional, wide-ranging and multi-level cultural and artistic exchanges and cooperation between China and Ukraine, and present a special gift to the 27th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ukraine.
